This 2-inch wide PTFE glass cloth tape combines a woven fiberglass base with a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) coating to produce a 5 mil tape with a durable, non-stick release surface. The fiberglass substrate contributes dimensional stability and tear resistance that standard film-based tapes cannot match at elevated temperatures.
It is used on heat sealing bars, hot wire cutters, packaging machinery platens, industrial pressing and ironing equipment, conveyor guides, and chutes — anywhere repetitive contact with adhesives, molten plastics, or resins demands reliable release and low friction. Food processing, aerospace fabrication, and composite manufacturing operations are common environments.
